AI Photos License Terms – Regular vs. Extended

Regular License

• Websites, blogs, social media posts, and digital advertisements (up to 500,000 total impressions per image).
• Print runs up to 50,000 copies (e.g., flyers, brochures, magazines, books, packaging).
• Presentations, video productions (non-broadcast), and internal corporate communications.
• Personal projects, including prints for home or small gifts (not for resale).
• Digital templates (e.g., website themes, app mockups) where the image is not the primary product being sold.

• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the image as a standalone file (including as part of a stock photo collection, print-on-demand service, or NFT).
• Use in products intended for resale where the image is the main commercial value (e.g., t-shirts, mugs, posters, greeting cards, phone cases, stationery) – for that you need an Extended License.
• Broadcast, film, or large-scale outdoor advertising (billboards, transit ads) exceeding 500,000 impressions.
• Use that implies endorsement of a product or service by any depicted person, brand, or trademark (AI images may not include real people, but be aware of potential trademarked elements).
• Any use that is defamatory, pornographic, illegal, or promotes hate speech.

Extended License

• Unlimited print runs (no copy limit).
• Unlimited digital impressions (no view cap).
• Use in merchandise for resale (e.g., t-shirts, mugs, posters, phone cases, stationery, calendars, greeting cards) – the image may be the primary design element.
• Use in digital products for sale (e.g., website themes, app templates, e-books, video assets) where the image is a component of the product, not the sole item.
• Use in broadcast, film, video-on-demand, and outdoor advertising (billboards, transit) – no impression limit.
• Use in NFTs (non-fungible tokens) – allowed only under Extended License and only if the image is part of a larger collection or derivative work; you may not mint the raw image as a standalone NFT.

• Reselling or redistributing the original image file as a standalone stock photo or clipart.
• Claiming copyright or trademark ownership of the AI-generated image.
• Using the image in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

Important – AI‑Specific Notes

• No model or property releases: AI‑generated images do not depict real people or property. You are responsible for ensuring your use does not infringe on any third-party rights (e.g., recognizable trademarks, logos, or copyrighted artwork that may appear in the AI output). We recommend reviewing images for such elements before commercial use.
• No exclusive rights: The same AI image may be licensed to other customers. We do not offer exclusive or buyout options for AI content.
• Indemnification: dividestock.com provides no indemnification for AI images. You assume all risk related to third-party claims. If you need legal protection, consult an attorney and consider using only fully‑released traditional photography.
• Modifications allowed: You may crop, color‑adjust, combine with other elements, or otherwise modify the image. The license applies to the derivative work as long as the original image is not redistributed.

Choosing the Right License
